AFWA Mesa East Valley Chapter Scholarships
The mission of the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession.
To help realize our mission, the Mesa East Valley Chapter has established a scholarship program for local accounting students. Our chapter scholarship awards will vary each year based on available funds from our scholarship fundraising efforts. Interested students should submit their completed scholarship applications in the fall for consideration. The scholarship committee selects recipients based on several criteria including participation in AFWA events, essay, recommendations and academic achievement.

Chapters submit applciations to the AFWA Educational Foundation for consideration for Foundation scholarships.
2013-14 AFWA Educational Foundation Academic Scholarships
The AFWA Educational Foundation undergraduate and master’s scholarships that are to be awarded in Spring 2013, for students to apply towards tuition for the 2013-14 academic year are as follows:
- Undergraduate Scholarships - For those attending an accredited College or University in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of study, and are pursuing an accounting or finance degree.
- Master’s Scholarships - For those attending an accredited College or University enrolled in a master’s program, and is pursuing an accounting or finance degree.

2013-14 AFWA Educational Foundation Member Only Scholarships
The AFWA Educational Foundation provides several scholarship for members to continue their education and earn their professional certifications.
- PhD Scholarships - For those ASWA members seeking a PhD in accounting.
- Certification Scholarships - For those ASWA members seeking professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, CIA, CFE, CFP and CVA.
